CHA Day 3

Well, the show has come to an end and we are so happy that we came over and liaised with all the companies we stock in the store. It was fantastic to see new product, touch new product and play with new product and there is a whole bunch of goodies that we can't wait to get in store.

We made sure that we ordered some of these today:

And we also were able to order some fantastic travel destination papers and cruise stickers for those of you that have been asking for them. We have some samples we can show you when we return, but they should ship out in a few weeks anyway. So we will have them soon.

We watched Tim Holtz a bit more today.

And then had our photo with him..............AGAIN.

Then spent the rest of today saying goodbye to people we had met in Brisbane and Sydney earlier in the year. Including the lovely Wendy Senger from Tattered Angels.

Then we headed into the city for some sightseeing and shopping.

We shopped The Magnificent Mile.
Walked under rail lines.

Paused for photos.
And had a fantastic day. Late to bed for us yet again.

CHA Day 2

Lots of lots of work done today. Lots of new stuff seen and played with. We had an awesome day! We manage to do a few more make n takes today. That was fun.
We met Teresa Collins and spoke with her Rep, Jesse about how we can get all of her new ranges. The new ones are gorgeous.
Here is the Teresa Collins Christmas range, Noel.
Then we went off to watch a demonstration on this little beauty:
THIS IS A FANTASTIC MACHINE. LOVE IT!! Imagine making your own images into stamps. Your childs handwriting. Your photos. Your favourite image. How much fun? Want to see how much fun? Alex was lucky enough today to do a Demo with Teresa and the Stampmaker (she had sat and watched a demo before she got up there, lol). Here it is:

We will be getting this machine into store as soon as we possibly can. If you want one just let us know and we will make sure we put one aside for you as soon as they arrive.

We spent the day checking out a whole bunch of new products and we are really excited to share them with you.

Glazed Bazzill Cardstock - these cardstocks have an embossed pattern all over them. Yummy!
New Glimmermist colours
New sleek Cuttlebug (the handle tucks away - great for storage)

Grand Nestabilities - these are gorgeous and BIG

Grand Calibar - the new large Spellbinder machine for the Grand Nesties
Gorgeous displays at Graphic 45

Sigh............it has all been great and we can't wait to get back and order all this fabulous new stuff in. We did order one nice lot of goodies today. The House of Three have teamed up with Pink Paislee and created a divine range called Parisian Anthology. We will be getting it all in-store real soon. Yay!

Phew! A full on day and more again tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, we will leave you with a cute little Making Memories cupcake.

CHA Day 1

Wow, wow, wow. Day 1 was fantastic!!
We got up all excited and headed off up the road to the Convention Centre.

Our first stop was the Prima booth. We sat down to do the make n take and were so excited to have Donna Downey doing it for us. She is so cute and funny.

We then made sure we ordered some NEW Prima goodies to come into store as soon as they are available (shipping in August). The canvas flowers are to die for.

And tags.............sigh!!

And this cute, cute range called Road Trip. Adorable!!

Then we trotted off, up and down the aisles looking at all the scrapping goodness. Alex was super excited to get to the Unity Stamps booth.

These stamps are so gorgeous and very difficult to get your hands on in Australia........................but they won't be anymore!!
There is a bunch of them on their way to Pages 2 Scrap. They should arrive within the month............EEEEK!! (That's Alex squealing with delight there!). We are joining the fun crowd!!

The displays here are amazing. So much inpsiration to soak up.

And of course we were mega excited to see Tim Holtz. He graciously paused down an aisle for a photo with each of us.

And then to watch him in action is amazing! He is so talented and good at demoing. We can't wait to watch him again today.
We also were excited to see his new toy in action............the VAGABOND!
It is an electronic embossing and die cutting machine. Pop in your embossing folders or dies, press a button and through it goes. Fantastic. This will be shipping in October, can't wait for that. Well, we are now off to Day 2 so come back for more updates real soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Chicago

Well, we are finally here in the Windy City!! Yay!!

We started out early on Sunday morning (about 6am) with our trip to the Sydney airport. Bye Bye Sydney.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to Premium Economy which was great with larger seats, more leg room, menu dining and champers before takeoff.
A whole 24 hours later we arrived in Chicago. Tired and exhausted but we still headed off to Target after checking in. Some retail therapy and dinner then off to bed for a great nights sleep. Today we headed to downtown Chicago for some sight seeing and shopping.

We checked out Navy Pier for lunch and then headed to the Magnificent Mile for some shopping. The architecture is fantastic.

We found a cool lego store with a life size Woody.

Then we headed to Macy's for some fabulous Retail Therapy. It was FANTASTIC!!
Now it's time for bed to get ready for "work"tomorrow. (I know, who on earth could call this a "job"?????) Bye.

We also had "Petal Pushers" from Bo Bunny come in for the girls.

And our much "awaited" for item..................the 13" plates for the Cuttlebug.

They are fantastic and make the 12" embossing folders lots of fun for scrapbooking.
And then another two great paper ranges from Fancy Pants. Like Father, Like Son is perfect for Fathers Day which is creeping up really soon.

Wishful Thinking is gorgeous and whimsical.
Come on in to the store to pick up your selection before it goes.
