Page 2 Girls DT Project - Sam

Hi Everyone !!! Sam here again.

WOW!!! how cold has it been ? perfect weather for staying inside and creating.
This month we got to play with the We R Memory Keepers " Tres Elegant " range. This range has beautiful soft colours in tones of apricot and green. With all my cards this month i chose to feature the beautiful flowers from Green Tara and the Prima Shabby Chic Treasures. These gorgeous little lovelies go perfectly on your cards as well as your pages.

The first card I created this month features the prima resin arched mirror set. this set includes 2 corner flourishes with the focal arched window. I simply traced the window onto a double matted card and cut it out using a craft knife. I then embellished the card using Green Tara roses, Kaiser flowers and a hatpin. Add a sentiment and your done !

Card number 2 was simple to make but very sweet , i used the Lacey patten down the edge of the page and continued it all over using a hole punch and craft knife. I used the Prima resin ceiling rose to embellish and topped it off with flowers and a co ordinating sentiment sticker.

Card 3 is matted a co ordinating sticker onto cardstock and cut around it . using Zots i mounted it to the card and embellished using Kaiser pearls, Green Tara flowers and chipboard corners

Card 4 : I used an acrylic bird shape , attached co ordinating cardstock using glossy accents and trimmed around the edge. embellished again with Green Tara flowers and kaiser pearls, stickers from the Tres Elegant range and Prima resin embellishments, This card is simple yet elegant.

Hope you like these cards as much as i had fun creating them. Don't forget all of the Page 2 Girls projects are on display in Store. Thanks for reading .......Sam :)

Page 2 Girls Dt Project- June- Kate

June DT Projects
by Kate McCulloch

Welcome to June everyone! In the same breath, welcome to Winter!
But you will feel all warm and fuzzy using this months kit to create a project of your very own.
I have three examples to show you today using these gorgeous warm tones that will have you feeling cosy in no time at all.

notice

This WRMK "Tres  Elegant" range has got the most richest caramel, chocolate tones to it. The collection has fabulous papers- elegant designs fitting to the title of the collection, flocked papers which are fabulously tactile and add warmth to your projects, and a great natural aspect to it too with leaves and birdies.
I teamed my layout up with some Basic Grey P&B alphabet stickers I purchased from Pages 2 Scrap. They were REALLY fun to use as they are nice and big, and the print is really fun also. I coated my flowers in a bit of white paint and pleated my Pink Paislee tissue paper in there as well.

Materials:

WRMK "Tres Elegant" Patterned paper
WRMK "Tres Elegant" Layered Chipboard Tag
Green Tara flowers
Prima Flowers
Pink Paislee Tissue Paper
Kaiser paint
Basic Grey P&B Alphabet Stickers

The Perfect Day

The "Tres Elegant" Patterned paper has these fabulous circles printed on them. I used a punch to punch them out of the paper but you could also hand cut them if you don't have a punch available. Using some Chalkboard Mist, I misted randomly on the base card stock. I punched my photo out so it was a circle as well. I used the WRMK Layered Chipboard Tag as part of the title and then followed on with the Been There Done That- Alpha rub ons. I journalled around my circle embellishments just for something different.

Materials:

WRMK "Tres Elegant" Patterned Paper
WRMK "Tres Elegant" Layered Chipboard Tags
Been There Done That- Alpha Rub ons
Prima flowers
Jenni Bowlin Chipboard Button- Porch Swing
Jenni Bowlin Stick Pin- Pewter
Kaiser Paint
Chalkboard Mist
Martha Stewart Punch

 Sunshiny Day

I really wanted to reflect the sun shining down on my daughter in this layout, as the sun beams are also captured in this photograph I took of her. I created a yellow wash on the base of my layout with watered down Kaiser paint then sprayed over it with Chalkboard mist. My embellishments are placed on a diagonal in the direction of the sun beams. This WRMK die cut paper "Noble" it's called, was really fun to use, I loved the pattern and the edges!

Materials:

WRMK "Tres Elegant" Patterned Paper
WRMK "Tres Elegant" Layered Chipboard Tags
Green Tara flowers
Prima flowers
Kaiser Paint and Texture Stamps
Pink Paislee Tissue Paper
Chalkboard mist
Jenni Bowlin Chipboard Button- Porch Swing

Buttons from my own stash.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your support whilst I have been on the Pages 2 Scrap "Page 2 Girls" Design Team. This is the last month of my DT term, and it is sad to leave!! However, I have had a great time being on the team. I have been inspired by the fellow DT girls and inspired by the fabulous range of products Pages 2 Scrap stocks.
I am thoroughly looking forward to seeing the continuing team and some new faces create fabulous projects to share with us all.

Love Kate xo

Announcing Our New Design Team Members!

It is with great pleasure that we welcome the following talented ladies to our Design Team:

  • Karen McLaughlin
  • Karyn Pawson
  • Leonie Waldron

They will join Libby Morris and Samantha Killoran to inspire you over the next 6 months!

Here's a little bit about each of them to help you get to know them better:

KAREN MCLAUGHLIN

I have been married to my husband for just over 20 years. We have a 19 year old daughter and a 14 year old son. We emigrated from England 14 years ago and now live on the sunny Central Coast.. I work part time as a carer for the elderly which I really enjoy. One word to describe myself would be ‘Content’. Favourite food would be salad – just kidding, it’s chocolate of course!

I have been scrapbooking for around 7 years. I started when a friend invited me over to ‘have a go’ after I had been admiring her pages. I have been addicted ever since. I get my inspiration from photos, magazines, blogs and just being around other scrapbookers is always inspiring.

I would describe my scrapping style as layered (a bit shabby but tend to try anything new). My favourite subject to scrap would be family and friends. I see my scrapping as being a lifetime diary.

KARYN PAWSON

Hi, I'm Karyn!

I am a busy working mum with 3 kids. My husband and I run a very successful manufacturing business and have done for the past 10+ years.

My crafting obsession began about 7 years ago with card making. My next door neighbour introduced me to it and I made a Valentines Day card for my husband. It had stamping and embossing and fussy cutting........I was HOOKED!

I have had a number of cards published in Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft over the past few years and just recently had my first layout published in Scrapbooking Memories.

I would describe my style as mostly vintage, eclectic and girly. However I do like to work with simple clean lines as well. I enjoy working with lots of different mediums and will give anything a go!

LEONIE WALDRON

Hi, I’m Leonie!

I have been into craft since I was very young, however I only discovered scrapping around 6 years ago after I got married and decided to scrap my wedding photos for my first ever project. It makes me cringe to look at that album now! It’s very basic. What I love about scrapping though is that you are always learning new things and you can certainly see yourself getting better as you go along. It’s a very rewarding thing to do and paper is a such a wonderful, tactile, versatile thing to work with. I hope that my children Tyler (4) and Holly (2) will one day enjoy looking through the memories I am documenting.

I’m a big fan of Graphic 45, Kaisercraft and My Minds Eye, and love mixing new store-bought products with vintage laces and embellishments. I’m looking forward to putting together some lovely projects for Pages 2 Scrap!
